I know we have a few on here that chase these beasts. Some friends and I are looking at a 2009 hunt and I figure it's never too early to start planning. Three of us did a self-guided hunt on public land last year (bow hunt). We saw elk but no shots. Have done a little more homework and now we're looking at a drop camp hunt, probably Colorado again. There are quite a few outfits that offer this type of hunt and we’ll be doing some research on a few. If anyone has used an outfitter for a drop camp hunt and was satisfied enough to make a recommendation I'd appreciate the input. Thanks.

I'll be going in about 7 hrs.
No drop camp hunt though, This will be my first time and with a bow to boot. I am going with a guy that's been there the last 4 years though and kinda knows the area. Hope something works out. Will post a story when I get back. Better go finish packing. |
