Your getting better results out of your trail camera than I am! Haven't got any deer on it at all yet. All I can say is keep moving it around and trying different places.

I got nothing but does and fawns all summer, and I knew there were bucks in the area because I'd seen them. A couple weeks ago I finally got a picture of one. So sometimes I think it just takes time.

I only got one buck and 4 does in the last 3 weeks, also got about 40 pics of nothing. Can't even tell how big the buck is, all I have is his right antler as he was eye to eye with the camera. Moved it today, hopefully to a better spot.

Picked up my cam today and had nothing but a picture of a nice deer trail.......with nothing on it. And it wasn't a slow trigger either beacause the camera is facing straight down the trail.

I have found this time of year to get in to the edges of the corn. These bucks are staying close to the food. I also look for faint trails parrelling the major trails. Bucks seem to stay away from heavily traveled routes.
Main thing is to keep trying different things. Matt |

Anyone have suggestions of some cheaper game cams that are digital? How long do you typically leave it in the field before you take it home and check it? I am interested in putting one up in a plot I plan on bow and rifle hunting this fall.

I bought a stealth cam for 199.99, and its pretty good. The one I bought cost more cause it has a 2" built in screen to view the images on. the same model as this one without the screen is around $135 at cabelas.

I check mine about every 2 weeks. I don't like to be in the area too often, or too long. Checked mine today, less bucks, more does. Really depends on what you think the activity around the camera is...

I have been using a cuddeback for the last couple of years and absolutely love it. No false triggers and no missed deer, but they aren't cheap. I recently purchased a wildview extreme 4 for $120 with a ten dollar mail in rebate. So far i am very happy with it. For the money, i think it is one of the best cameras out there. I haven't had it out long enough to know how great the battery life is but the trigger speed is almost as good as my cuddeback and i have had maybe one picture without a deer in it.
