Default waterfowl hunting or deer hunting

ok guys big question here not to offend anyone by no means.... Why is it that waterfowl hunting seems to be more of an appeal than big game hunting? I do both but do a lot more less waterfowl hunting. Is it more fun or more comradere?

Why is this in the outdoors marketplace? He's not buying or selling anything!

I didn't start deer hunting until about 6 years ago when a college buddy got me into it. I'm skipping the rifle season this year because that week was a hella push of fowl the last two years and I missed all of it because I was sitting in a box in some trees watching them fly over. It's pretty straight forward to me. I spend most of my time sitting in a tree waiting for a deer thinking about waterfowl but I've never been sitting in a decoy spread thinking about deer.

Oh, its just personal preference. I love both, but prefer big game hunting.

We all have our reasons why we prefer one over the other, none of them are wrong.

I remember two years ago in Oklahoma I decided to go duck hunting instead of deer hunting, for whatever reason the deer were moving full force that day and we saw deer everywhere while out ducking. I almost cried that I wasn't sitting in a deer stand!

I've never had anyone take me waterfowling. No one in my family did it, and when I got older none of my friends did either. So just a big game hunter here. Don't know if I could afford both, this archery stuff is spendy!

I agree with Commando. When I was deer hunting during muzzle loader season last year, 3 of my friends were 1/2 mile away duck hunting. I sat there for a couple of hours watching deer and could here them shooting. I finally told myself I'm just going to shoot the next deer that comes near me so I could duck hunt. Well long story short, after duck hunting I took a 4 wheeler to find my deer. I found it and threw it into the back of the 4 wheeler by myself like a sack of potatoes. That's right....not very big at all. But it sure was tender.

I will Muzzle Hunt for sure however the rifle stays in the cabinet this year. To many Snows coming through the last 2 years on Rifle opener. My Muzzleloader will drop the first big Deer I see. Cant waste any Waterfowl time.

I usually duck hunt the mornings and then head out for deer in the evenings.
