I got a pleasant surprise last week when I found that Netflix actually carries Peter H. Capstick's DVD "Hunting the African Elephant".
It came last week and I actually got chance to watch it on Saturday. I'm not much for hunting elephants, really, but it was very interesting to actually see and hear the man who wrote a number of great books that have loved for years, starting with "Death in the Long Grass". The DVD was actually well done and I enjoyed it, but I'm still no bigger fan of elephant hunting. Supposedly he's got a lion hunting DVD coming out soon as well. That one I'd be more interested in the subject matter. I could be mistaken, but I thought Capstick had actually died in the last few years. Perhaps I'm mistaken? Anyone else seen either of those vids? |
