I would suggest those Cabelas Duramags. I dont own them but basically everything I hear about them is good. Except maybe they get too hot sometimes.
I myself have the Cabelas Ultimates and I like them. Only complaint I hear about them is the velcro wearing out but I know my buddy just took his to a seamstress and she sewed in a pair of heavy duty buckles on them for about $10.

I have RedHead Bone-Dry Extreme - a significant upgrade over my old jersey rubber waders. I like this pair a lot. 5mm, 1000 grams, high back, and a cleated boot that really helps with traction when you're stepping up a muddy/sandy/icy bank.

I have been using Cabela's 3.5 neoprenes. They are less than 100.00, I've never been cold and actually wore out the boots before the waders wore out on the last two pairs. I'll keep using them as long as they are making them.

I've owned the Cabelas Ultimates for about 5-6years now. On my thrid pair. Not sure I'd recommend them anymore cause I have problems with the boots ripping out and the Armor-Flex isn't all that tough,IMO. When I was down in Arkansas, every guy down there said stay away from Hodgman cause of leak problems. Never heard anything bad about LaCrosse waders(in fact I have a pair of unisulated ones that are 15years old and still in great shape).

I have the Cabelas Supermag 1600's, best I have ever had. Like Ty said, they get hot early in the season so I may buy some 3mm's until it cools down. I've never had any problems with Cabelas waders that I didn't cause.

I'm in the same boat as you are. I outgrew my old waders over the summer and am trying to decide which ones to get. I'm thinking I might just get the cabela's 5mm neoprenes.

James, Im right there with you. Im going with Ultimates again, they fit pretty well and dont feel retarded on me. I go through a pair a season, the seams on the inside of the knees always give out first. Cabelas always takes them back.
![]() I bought a pair of 1600s when they first came out, took them back after one hunt on the river. If you are sitting all day you are fine, but if you do alot of walking, you will die.
