Default Anybody happen to see the huge deer on the side of the road?

Anybody happen to see the huge deer on the side of the road? The deer was lying on the south side of the Platte River bridge on I80 between Omaha and Lincoln. It was lying right on the west side of the bridge on the right hand side of the road in the east bound lane. I was just wandering if anybody got a better look at it then me it look to be at least a very large 5x5 and probably bigger and if you are on 80 heading toward Omaha maybe take a look.

I saw it but did not see the rack. It was a huge deer! Maybe bloated?

if it had a big rack im sure its gone by now.

Heard of a monster getting hit by Primestop north of Norfolk and within a half hour its rack was gone.

Actually there is another one that is hard to see a few miles west of there. He's laying next to a small bridge in the median close to Mile Marker 418. The Rack is Huge!

I was heading towards Omaha and only saw it for a split second but I seriously thought about pulling over to go cut the head off!

Got to get a permit from G&P to take any part of a deer that has been hit. Otherwise its against the law.

If it was up to the insurance companies it would be against the law to hit them, even by accident.

Last year there was one hit on 80 just west of the Waverly interchange. Somebody whacked off the head, and left the be-headed deer draped over a guard rail. You couldn't help but see it as you went by. It was there for few days if I remember right. I'm sure that made all the animal rights activist nuts. A state patrolmen, or sheriff can give you a permit.

Just talked to my buddy that commutes to Omaha. He said he saw that deer this morning. Said it looked like a big 5X5. I wonder if the antlers are still on it. Someone is probably lurking until traffic slows to go and snipe 'em.
