Default Odd buck...

I have never seen such an odd buck in person. This guy was shot on my families farm by the son of one of the guys that lease a cabin spot along the Elkhorn. Strange thing is, we had never seen him, or got any pics of him on any trail cams. (Until today...)

If you look at his left front leg, either he was injured when he was young or it was a birth defect. You could not move or straighten-out that leg, and there is no muscle on that leg. I guess before he was shot he was chasing a doe around, three-legged. Kind of reminds me of a T-Rex arm...

I figured as soon as I saw this buck, I just had to snap some pics and share it on here.

That buck looks almost as weird as Brett Favre in a Vikings jersey....

Nice pics!

The injury may have had something to do with his antler formation.

We had a guy from the Game and Parks look him over and he said that could have been a possibility. That, and possible damage to his testicles. He also aged the deer at 5.5 to 6.5 years old. His teeth were pretty much worn to nothing...

are you sure he said "testicles" and not pedicles (The base that the antler grows from) because damage to the those can cause non-typicals too.

Usually damage to the testicles will cause antlers to grow weird. So will a injury to the leg or body.
