Default Moon phase and opening day

I see that there will be almost no moonlight to speak of this weekend. How does that affect the deer? Or is there any effect at all?

depending on which outdoor publication you subscribe to (Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, etc), i've seen they think dark moon (or new moon) makes deer move during the day, especially if its going to be overcast at night, but there are other factors like temperature that enter in. hopefully that hold true, so the deer move during the DAYTIME.

For sure will be a plus. A full moon means a lot of game will be active at night. This includes waterfowl even.

Should mean game on for deer but of course with the rut you never know about bucks what they will do.

Well, when we arrived at the field this morning(about 4:30) to turkey hunt, there were 7 deer out in the beans eating. While we sat in the truck passing a little time before heading into the field,9 more walked across the road(about 5:15ish) and into the field. Maybe this is why the landowner told me...

I'm sure us getting out messed up their daily routine but I only saw 2 deer while we hunted. On the way home, quite a few deer(all singles) here and there out in fields.
