No age limit. Those under age 12 must be accompanied by a person 19 years of age or older having a valid hunting permit. Antelope, Deer, Elk, Bighorn Sheep
For antelope and elk, minimum age is 12. For deer, minimum age is 10. Those under 16 must be accompanied by a person 21 years of age or older who has a valid hunting permit. Those under the minimum age may apply for a permit only if they will reach the minimum age by the date the season opens
Why does the NGPC have different age requirements when taking a youth out?? One can be 19,the other 21. Why not simplify and make it one age for taking kids out?

Not positive, but I think part of it is that things get adopted at different times and apparently no-one checks to see if they are being consistent.

Sort of like when muzzloader hunters have to wear orange during December, yet archery hunters that are hunting at the same time don't.

Part of it is because some of those are statutes, set by the Legislature, and some are regulations, set by the Commissioners. There are a few inconsistencies that they try to harmonize, but always seem to miss something. Then something else gets changed.
