Default Bowhunting Vacation Midweek Report

Took this week off work to put some time in the tree. Sunday morning...

Saw to young cruizers that morning and quite a few does. This guy got a second chance at life.

One of my favorite sights:

Monday night my wife and I climbed a Walnut Tree on the edge of a freshly cut corn field and put the decoy out in hopes of reeling one in. This buck came out and scent checked the does first

After he checked the does, he made his way over to "Bart". I was praying for him to bull doze the crap out of Bart, but instead he used intimidation.

This guy put on a fantastic show at 25 yards for close to 30 minutes. He made a scrape 4 feet round right behind the decoy, thrashed his horns on the salks, and snort wheezed at least 6 times that I counted. The wife got some great video and audio of that When I get back home this weekend I'll try to post that video. Gave this guy the pass as well, man did he entertain us. We were literally trying not to burst out laughing when he kept raking the ground like a mad bull and snort wheezing. Here is his angry look. He tried hard for a reaction.

I hope to have some more pics by the end of this week. Hopefully one with a dead buck in it. I had a really nice 4x4 at 75 yards one morning, but didnt get the chance. Hauled the decoy in this morning in hopes of seeing the stud again, but no such luck. 5 days of vacation left.......

I bet that was fun to watch. Kinda like the old, "I dare you to step across this line" bit that has become infamous on playgrounds. All bark and no bite, though. Thanks for the pics. Looking forward to the video.
