Default Crop percentage still in?

What are you seeing for unharvested crops ?

In Lancaster, I'd say we have 90% still in.

I'd say at least 90% of the corn is still in, around the area I hunt. beans I'd say is around 75%.

Still alot of harvesting to go, and this weather is not helping one bit.

Most/dang near all of the beans are out in my area. They were just starting to go to town on the corn last weekend.

Lots of bare fields here, east of Beatrice. Some crops still out, we have 15% of our corn to pick but that's about all.

went scouting near lincoln yesterday after class, and found that alot more corn has been picked. While I didnt find any geese in any fields, I did find about 40 pheasants between 4 of the picked fields, which was good to see!

Platte County - 50% of beans out and 10% of corn out, going to be tough hunting for the roosters!

official number as of harvested corn yesterday is 15 percent. 23 days behind the average at this time (47%). If you rememeber last year it was also a late harvest, but not this late. Lots of beans are getting finished back east from what I hear.

Indeed. With the rain from last night and what is supposed to fall today, it will be a while before the fields are dry enough for farmers to get into the fields let alone even think of harvesting wet crops.

They will be back in the fields this weekend. It's to the point where it doesn't matter if they tear up the field ends they just want to keep plugging away at the crops.

Looks like we, SE Nebraska, will have pretty good weather after today through at least midweek.

I hope you are right.

Do you think many will risk waiting for it to freeze before they go in?

no if they can get in to corn that is relatively low moisture or they have the means to dry it, they will pick it as fast as possible. The rate it's coming out now it could be January before harvest is over.

I'd say about 75% of the fields I've seen around Lincoln and Fremont are still full.

My Dad farms in Clay County and still has almost 500 acres of corn to pick and probably won't get much more picked before next week with the weather. That's probably 25-30% or their corn crop remaining. All his beans are out. Most guys are further behind them, but I know of at least one operation that's done.

Default McCook area

4 inches of snow on the ground and before the snow had .75 inch of rain on an already muddy base. Most of the beans are out but probably 90% of the corn still in the fields. Roads are sloppy and nasty to travel on.
Sun for the weekend might make it possible to get around to a few places with 4 wheel drive a must.
