Shot this buck saturday night. He came out chasing a couple does and put one in him at about 75 yards. Not the biggest rack but probably the biggest neck and body on a deer that i have shot.

two quick notes the first note this is my first time at attempting to post a picture on here and second note the 4x4 white tail was my brother's(in picture) first deer that he has ever shot. Both deer were shot on Sunday in the same pasture within 250 yards of each other, one hour of fun 23 hours of little brother showing off his first deer. mule deer was a 4x3 and shot by me (not pictured)

Default Opening Day around 3:15

I have no idea how to score deer. By far the best I've ever gotten. I know there a lot bigger/better deer taken on an hourly basis during this week, but I sure was proud. Think he would even be 120ish?

Nice buck Springerfan! I'd be surprised if he wasn't in the 130's. Good looking deer. You'll have to change that avatar now

Seen lots of bucks this weekend, probably 20 a day. Finally settled on this one sunday evening. Saw at least 3 that were bigger, just couldn't pull off a good shot so I let them go. Happy with this one though. Now I'm after a doe with the pistol and my daughter still has a chance for the big one this weekend.
He's got a broken brow and a split G 2 on the left side, can't really see it in the pic though.

Searched for another hour and couldn't find him again.

I'm sure he'll live from it, and hopefully I can find him tommorow afternoon and put a good shot on him. I've still got a sick feeling in my stomach from it, but hopefully he will live through it.

What do you guys think? Will he make it? He was movin' pretty good the times I saw him, but his front right leg was flopping.

hard to say... how high is your predator count there? he can run but if he is missing a leg he is easy pickings for any predator animal just hope it doesnt get infected and kill him slowly

There was a potential new state record nontypical shot from the southern part of the state like around humboldt or somewhere in there i will see if i can get a picture uploaded to send but the first score i have heard was 291 inches.

Here is the deer my buddy shot opening morning a few miles off the NP River in a riparian area. It was a 9x10 non-typical that wasn't too wide but was really tall we thought. It will be interesting to see what he will score. My buddy wants your opinions on what you think it will score roughly just by a quick estimate since this is now the biggest buck he's ever shot and he is curious.

I had the opportunity to see that deer first hand when he brought it to the G&P station. What a Buck!! I would say 170s easy if not more. There was a big debate on the age of that deer too. I hope he remembers to take the lower jaw back down to Alliance when he gets it back from the Taxidermist. Congrats again to him.

I got this one at 7:00 a.m. on the nose Saturday morning. He was chasing a doe and stopped on a sandbar at about 100 yards.

My buddy, Chuck followed up with this one a couple hours later and I got a cool video of him shooting it. Hope I can figure out how to post it later..

I talked my brother-in-law into going for the first time this year and his brother came too, as he had not deer hunted in about 12 years. They both had a successfull season with Randy taking this nice 5 x 5 on the right.

These were the deer we had down on Sunday morning with a couple more taken in the afternoon. It was a very successfull year, with 8 out of 11 tags filled. Now it's time to start stacking some does.

Here is a picture of my first buck. I shot him around 5:25 pm on Thursday night. The right side of his antlers are broken a little.

Hunted hard last Saturday and saw quite a few deer, does and small bucks. Got back at it early Sunday and about 8:30 am this guy came through hot on a doe. They came in pretty quick but he gave me a good broadside shot. I had a good view of his profile and could see he was a nice buck but was I surprised when I walked up on him. First time I actually had ground gainage versus shrinkage.
