Nice bucks DA!

You could always pass the time by whacking a few does.

Default First Bow Kill!!!!!

So I shot this 3x4 on Friday (10-30-09) but had to wait until today to get the pics off my phone (long story).

Anyway, been hunting the South Loup and have passed up several does and small bucks. Have been planning on being done by rifle season so decided it was time to take a shot the next chance I got. Had two bucks get within 30 yrds but kept trees between us. Used the grunt call for a while and a little after 9:00 am this guy comes in and is headed to where I sprayed the doe urine. The rest is history!

Needless to say, I have been pretty pumped for the last couple of days!

Great job guys!!!

Some great stories & deer on here again!

They are all giving more incentive to get out (as if I need any more as it is) and shoot my first archery deer.

Default 2009 Archery deer 9X6

Finally filled my tag on Nov. 1st. did a couple rattling sequences and some grunting and this buck I called shredder came straight to me giving me a 20 yard shot. I have been getting trail cam photos since July and have been trying to connect with him since opening day. He ran about 70 yards and fell over. He is a 9X6, he isn't the biggest buck on the property but he is quite unique and one I was looking for.

Yep, Travis sent me a pic. Not a great picture but looks like about the same as the first as far as size. Waiting for pics to pop up here.

Had some luck of my own this afternoon. Didn't see a deer all evening untill the last few minutes of light when this buck stepped out at 22 yards. Didn't have alot of time to look him over, but decided to take him. Couldn't see where I hit him, but I had a great blood trail. Ran for almost a half mile though, before bedding down and bleeding out. I'll put up a new thread for it tomorow, but this will do for tonight.

Hey BP, I knew you'd get him. Nice Job.

You young guys are doing some impressive stuff.

Brian 40 too, congrats.
