Went out today and while there was lots of rubs around and the trail cam showed some hot doe action I was skunked. Decided to call it a morning at 11am and of course when I climbed down 2 does were almost to me and got spooked.
Wow its been a frustrating season for me. All I want is some hamburger too. ha

I too went out this morning till around 11:30... I did see a bunch of smaller rubs but nothing like the 8' Cedar tree I found shreeded last year!
![]() I'm thinking another couple of weeks and we'll be right in the swing of things!

Went out yesterday and today...had the whitetail down on a pattern consistent so we got everything set up according to what they'd been doing everyday and the past two days...completely different.
Going from a snowstorm to 80 degrees in three or four days definitely messed with their movement. Hopefully we get some more consistent weather so the deer settle down some. We haven't seen hardly any buck activity, maybe one or two rubs and no scrapes. Hopefully they start showing up. Just about hit at least a 4x4 on the way home. Figures!

Congratulations fishcatcher!! Way to go. Welcome to the very addictive, sleepless nights, 258 days of preparations, heart pounding, adrenalin rush that is archery hunting. Here's hoping this is the first of many, many more successful trips to the woods. U ![]() |

Anyone think they can lighten this picture up for me? Someone is going weird with the night pics. on my IR cudde. This buck is hitting a scrape and he looks like a very nice deer from what I can see. Thanks.
