Does Elk count? Took this one on Saturday during Nebraska's opener. We took 2 elk down withing 1-2 hours of each other. We had to quarter and pack them out of the canyon took us all day and into the night before we finished. Good Times though!

Congrats all.
I know what it is like to pack meat all day long, I used to live in AK and packed many moose out of moutain passes. I was young and I swear that is the only reason my Dad brought me along, I was a cheap pack horse! |

Wow! Nice antelope!
Wish I had a success story to post. Was very close this morning. Had a big doe come in behind me. But when she got to my trail going to the stand she spooked. Didn't expect any deer to come from the road down wind of me. Another 10 yards and I think I could have closed the deal. That's bowhunting though. Theres always tommorrow! |

I shot these yesterday morning. Shot the doe first and 10 minutes later the buck came by. The doe was 12 yards and the buck was 10. What an awsome hunt!
PS: The e-check in is awsome! |

well, shot my first deer ever tonight, had a big doe 9 yards from me, took the shot hit it, the guy who was in the same tree as me said it looked like a decent hit, we found dark red blood, and found my arrow little bit ways from stand, searched the blood trail for 30 mins and she never laid down once, we found some decent blood, but she wasnt stopping, got 2 dark and flashlights were dieing so hopefully can find it tommorow, o we did wait bout 1-1 1/2 hours before we went and looked so idk y she didnt bed down

Took a doe in the snow this morning. Folks that have watched my trailcam videos have seen deer coming out of this corn path on my CRP site.
I heard her coming for about 45 seconds giving me ample time to be in position to draw when she exited the corn. She did and stopped after about 6' to check things out and I took a perfect broadside shot. She flinched and ran directly away from me (east), parallelling the corn and out of sight. I heard her crash and thought she had turned right and into the woods but when I started tracking her blood trail she ended up about 50 yards away and right next to the corn. So I also decided to take her picture there too. ![]() |

Congratulations everyone!! There are some excellent looking game being taken!!
I have yet to have the opportunity to draw on an animal yet...hoping this Saturday that will change. I went out yesterday with Kate to do some last minute scouting for the weekend to see if anything had changed after the snow storm blew through this past weekend. I've been at this place all summer working and have scouted it hard this fall and haven't seen an antelope on the property once. I've talked to the landowner, who lives about 1/4 mile from the field we're hunting. He's never seen an antelope on his place either. Last night, Kate & I saw a small buck on the place and we just thought it was a fluke. About an hour later on our way out of the place, we walked over a hill and found the buck we'd seen earlier with two does and another buck. The other buck was NICE! Very similar to one that I'd posted earlier on another property scouting. Running out of daylight and wanting to stalk something, we snuck from about 150 yards away, to within 45 yards of the antelope. Talk about fun! Another half hour of daylight and we could have gotten within 30 yards or so. I don't have an antelope permit and didn't intend to shoot one this year, but another stalk like that and I may be purchasing one! Good luck all going out this week, stay safe & shoot straight. Hopefully next time I'll be able to post a picture or two of some arrowed animals!
