Great picture and good background! That's why I love the sandhills...heading to the hills thursday. Reports of lots of birds, lots of water some geese spreading out a little. Hopefully we get a little weather just to mix things-up. Can't wait for the fire, stars and coyotes!

Uploaded some images to the computer from the last weeks I thought I would share. Here's a few from the opener.

A friend found an awesome speck concentration that we planned on hunting until it got jumped the night before. They were patterned to the same field for a week the farmer said. Woulda been fun. The Jumping threw off their whole pattern and those birds are now probably sitting in Missouri or Kansas. This was maybe a quarter of the birds using the field, most were sitting on the roost.

Default Goose Opener

Anyone else excited for the Canada goose opener this weekend? My group saw at least 150 last weekend and we had 16 land right in the middle of our spread. It was tough not to be blasting!

We are glad for the season here, had a group of 50 sitting on our lake blind. Hopefully they will remember us this weekend!

It's raining plenty. I just got home a little bit ago from pulling/pushing a buddy off a muddy road. That was not how I planned on spending my evening. Lots of water on the roads.

Went on a SOLO hunt last night and shot 3, Pintail/Gadwall/GW Teal. Had a few other opportunities but never fired. Should have been an easy limit, that’s what I get for not paying attention. To top it all off it down poured on me and I got my truck stuck. I would drive a foot and slide a foot towards the ditch. Sure made for a long night.

I sure seen a lot of guys out this morning close to Lincoln. Was very surprised at how many people were willing to sit in the down pour. Sounded like it paid off for everyone.

Didn't Phil ever show you the famous picture of the stuck Jeep on a muddy road? Some people just never learn....
