Default trail cam pics. thread

Maybe a mod could sticky this thread and everyone could add their trail cam pics. to it. Its fun to go through all of them under one thread.

I've had the cams. out a few weeks and have gotten some pretty nice deer on camera. Hopefully they all won't elude me this year in which they quite often do.

Thought this was a cool shot.

I had a sweet third beamer but I guess I deleted the pic. Whoops. None of these deer look very old to me, but I'm not very good at guessing that.

Does anyone know what is wrong with this doe? I remember there was a thread on it last year.

I believe it is a deer's equivalant to warts. Should be fine to eat if I remember correct.

Default Warts

Warts is right. I do remember that other thread people posted lots of info about it. They say it don't affect the meat at all. But on the underneath of the deer they most of thime are even worse. I killed a deer with those before and it grossed me out enough I turned it into G&P and they gave me another permit

Those are some nice bucks, that second buck has somereally long brows, he should eventually be a good one depending on how wide he gets.

The doe has what looks to be cutaneous fibroma. As mentioned above, the deer is still ok to eat; the disease just affects the skin (like warts) but can in some cases be so severe that the fibroma covers the eyes or mouth and can lead to death from starvation.

The last time i put mineral in there was over a year ago but they still dig in there. It collects water now so that may be why they visit it...

I was curious, b/c I put deer cane out about 7 years ago and they still dig at that hole like crazy.

I feel the same way about the size of the little one in the picture. But I will add that my mom lives very close to the missourri river in Bellevue and we have seen a number of those small little ones lately. It has bothered me a little bit to tell you the truth.

I've ran over one that small in August with the tractor once. I don't think it's normal, but I have seen that before.

young fawns in late summer/early fall are products of yearling does being bred during january and febuary and i think its more common than people think. i jumped a fawn with spots in september last year!
