Floating Goose Shells

I didn't even know they made these! Anyone know of other brands that have something like this or somewhere they are cheaper? Or has anyone come up with something similar that is homemade?

Its a great idea for people who dont have a ton of money to spend on both field and floater dekes. It will also save some space in a decoy bag rather than full body floaters.

Take that black pipe insulationg and some zip strips and put it ont the bottom edge of the shell that would touch the ground and there you have yourself a homeade floater. Work pretty well.

I hunted with a couple guys 2 weekends ago that had something similar. They took those foam floating noodles, and cut them the length they needed to fit around the base of the shell. Then they had a slit in the foam so you could slide it one to shell.

Then for a weight they had a hook on the bottom of the head with the string and weight tied to it. You dropped the weight and string through the head hole, and then stuck the head on. They looked pretty good, but I could see them flipping over in strong winds fairly easily
