Default A coyote and a new buck(s) around.

here's the coyote I shot last wednesday morning. She was chasing a button buck and the buck ran right under my stand, but the coyote broke off to go check my buck decoy out. It gave me the chance to get drawn on her and take her. Shot was about 35 yards and I think she heard it coming and tried to jump it, but the Rage 2-blade laid her out anyways. My first coyote with any weapon. not experienced by any means with coyotes, but doesnt look to be very old.

here's another good buck(s) Ive gotten on camera. Not sure if its the same deer. Has a lot of similar characteristics, and is a short time apart....but that right point that comes in real sharp in the closeup pick definetely isnt there on the other pic. They seem to look identical, but that buck in the non whited out pic definetely doesnt seem to have that non typ point.

had another picture at high noon on sunday of a nice 140's 5x5 but he broke off his entire right beam after his g2..would post pic...but way too obvious where it is for people that would know. (AlexT)

Nice dog. Would love to get a chance at a yote someday.

upon further review, its either the same deer or an identical twin....still cant figure out that extra point though.

upon more further review.....doesnt it look like theres too much room between his brows and his g2 on the left from the distant picture to the close one..and vice versa on his left? way more room on his left beam between the 1 and 2, and then not enough up close?

Nice pictures, looks like the same buck to me, and congrats on the yote.

I was curious, what does one do with a coyote after they shoot one?

well, it depends what you shoot it with, and what the quality of hide is.

ok, so I am guessing you keep the hide? I dont care what people do with them, so it s not a loaded question, I just seriously have never heard what people do with them.

honestly, that ones in a ditch. the hides not thick at all. Im told to shoot any fox, coon, yote, and any other predator/hole digger on that property I can...lol. I might go back and try and get the skull at a later date.

If the fur is good you can either sell it whole, or if you know how to you can skin it and all that stuff and then sell it. You get a better price for skinning it and stuff yourself, but its a lot of work also. Coyotes aren't bringing much this year from what i've heard though.

Mount it and put it in your game room. Like I would do if I had a house and if I had a game room. Shoot, I would be happy if I had a garage to put game in.
