Default Now I'm getting excited!!!!!

The bucks have really been on the move this week. I got a few good pics of some nice ones, but I still think I'll give em one more year. Allthough it will be hard to pass on a couple of em.

This is a nice young deer, I would guess 2 1/2 to 3 1/2. I'm not sure what he might score, but I think I'll give him one more year, unless my daughter wants to take him.

Last one is a dany buck. Good luck. He does look like he could be left another year or 2, but still good.

holy smokes, I didn't even look at that. I know last week I seen a couple of nice bucks out on my way back from Vermillion. Was about 11am. Got out of the stand at 10am, went over to SD to get lunch and came back and there were deer walking all over at this time. I'm definently doing all day hunts this week.

coug, your daughter is going to end up with more deer on the wall that you!
oh well, that's the way it's supposed to be though right?

Nice bucks specially the last one, if you can wait and keep that last buck from being blasted by a rifle he will be a bruiser buck in 2 years, hes a pig. I am having the problem of my big bucks locked down with do's and the little forkies and spikes are the ones cruisen. Anyone else having that problem.

I would say that the bigger bucks are technically "locked down" but they arent chasing or pushing that hard...just kinda keeping tabs on one doe or two. this was the case with that buck I shot and still havent found on Friday night. he was just lightly pushing a single doe around..but he still wanted to fight the decoy...so he wasnt what I would call "Locked down" in terms of being unhuntable...but yea, that times gotta be close

The last deer I would have a really difficult time in letting him go.

The bigger bucks are not paying any attention to my rattling , grunting, snorting, bleating, to anything. This is the first year that I have not rattled a booner buck in yet, just kind of a weird rut in my neck of the woods. That last buck is 2 1/2 year old buck, no mass , long skinny legs , lengthy necks , no sag in the belly. Young buck.

I have rattled in two deer the last two years that I have missed that would have gone atleast 180. Myself the biggest I have is 160 typical( I know this does not make booner stats, but my dad has a 206 nontypical that is one of the two that I missed. I usually see bigger bucks responding to my rattle and wheeze but this year its hasnt happened yet. Im going to be out from noon on all week until the rifles start blaring.

Yes, they are all on my land, so passing is what I want to do. Only thing is, if they go into the open field they will most likely get shot. There are more than enough road hunters in the area. And the neighbors have 4 guys hunting too, they said they were going to shoot does this year but we'll see.

good luck with it...lots of potential there...if theres one to kill its that third pic I think...looks like an average 8, but looks to be at least 4...the rest all look to be 3 or under (which is a great problem to have with those genetics)

Yea Coug he is nice but man ya gotta hate playing the lottery. I got some bucks I hope nobody else shoots. Supposedly the Scentlock guys are hunting the outfitters land next door and seen a 190 class deer fighting one that was 170 at least.

I sure hope they are right and I also sure hope that those bucks hide where I think they will be since I am skipping rifle and going with the muzzleloader this year.
