I read one of the NRA hunting mags a guy had at work and it had an article in it about baiting. They actually had evidence that in counties, in South Carolina i believe, that baiting actually decreased deer harvest percentages. The reason was that once everyone has bait out and hunt the feeders the deer get lazy and dont have to do far for a meal so they wait until night and walk a couple hundred yards to the closest feeder. I will try and find the article so I can relay more info.
