with these high winds,I'd think any scent thing is kinda pointless right now. My buddy tried those incense thingys and never seen a deer while using them. When I deer hunted alot,I went to Walgreens and got a bunch of free 35mm film cannisters. I drilled a few small holes in them(for air flow) and then bought a bag of cottonballs. A couple cottonballs in each container and then a few drops of whatever scent(I used Tink's) ya wanted. Pretty much free scent bombs that you could tie up on a branch, set on the ground,or however ya wanted to use them. Change the cottonballs and add new scent each time out.Not nearly as pricey as the brand name ones nowadays.

hey Alex, I use that same technique trapping also. 35mm canisters, holes riddled through them, a cottonball with lure on it goes inside. I poke a stiff wire through mine and shove the wire into the ground just behind my dirthole at land sets. makes a great scentpost set. A little cat gland lure and this is a great cat set also.

That or a clean cotton towel cut or ripped to about 4" x 4". Once I reach my stand or blind I then hang that scent drag about 40 to 50 yards from where I'm sitting. Before I hang it I will walk closer to my where I'm sitting, with the drag, then hang it in a place where I think I will have my best open shot. When you hang it make sure it isn't flopping in the wind. On a few occassions I've had both bucks and doe's walk right to it and sniff it then mill around around in the area looking/ sniffing for the scent on the ground.
