Guys I need to switch to a left handed bow, and all I have right now is a right handed one. I tried shooting it left handed and I get a decent group just a little to the left of point of aim. Are there any serious no-nos about this? I can't afford to buy a new bow right now and don't want to let my tag go to waste.

If you can still shoot it, and have no problem getting good groups, then I don't see why you couldn't use it.

No law stating that you have to use a left or right handed bow corresponding to your dominant hand.
I'd say the law is the only serious no-no. |

Thanks guys! I can draw my Browning bow that I am going to use for bowfishing with no problems, it has about 38-40lb draw, right now my Martin is set at about 55lbs, and if I shoot lefty I know that I can have it set to close to 70 with no problems. The reason I have a tough time right handed is because way back in the day I got my left shoulder torn out of socket during football practice, and now there is alot of instability in it.

Like the other guys have said, you can shoot the bow opposite hand , but when you do save up enough pennies from the piggy bank you are going to be ABSOLUTE AMAZED of how much more accurate groups and consistant groups you will produce! and better groups means better chance of getting that animal to feast on at the end of the day!

I can see through the peep fine and have no problems with the string hitting my arm. The only noticeable difference is my groups are about 3-4 inches left at about 2o yards.
