The Chambers Corner, East of Chambers. Sat night steaks on the charcoal grill and the BEST onion rings Ive ever eaten!
Downhome? Bar in Belden, their large burger makes Bobs look small, and has much better flavor, the thing is HUGE!!! |

If you find yourselves in the area around Lynch, NE I suggest the NebraskInn in Gross, NE. Great bar food at great prices.

If you are close to Linwood stop in at the Sand Bar I think it is called. Pretty much the only place of business in Linwood. They have a killer ribeye and it is cheap. By far the best steak I have ever had!

We'll be at a new spot for this deer season and need some recommendations....
Any good places in Peru, Auburn, or Brownville (or even Neb City)? (breakfast and/or dinner) |

there's a good steakhouse in auburn called "wheeler's" i think. humboldt is close by and has one called like "pine creek" or something and that is good as well. nebraska city has a good one on the main strip...just can't think of it. |

Packster, Did you mean Big Fellas in Linwood?
I would agree with you Damn GOOD Ribeye, like you said pretty damn cheap!!!! Anyone know if the ding in raymond is still up and running? Darn good steaks as well, if you were lucky enough to get there during a nebraska football game they always had a ton of stuff there for the game!!! |

In peru they have a small bar downtown that served some great biscuits and gravy. Even a couple nice bucks on the wall. The steakhouse in Nebraska City is Embers Steak House and it is very good.

Just a heads up the Embers Closed
Also, there is a new cafe on the east side of downtown Auburn that serves some great food, Family Connection. Last edited by thall; 11-04-2008 at 05:30 PM. |

I also go to Chambers Corner, BUT try to avoid it during a Nebraska Game. It's a bit crowed. I don't think it's on TV the 15th this yr, so you should be good to go

I don't remember the name of the place, but it is next to the Super 8 in Ainsworth. I had one of the best steaks ever there. The steaks aren't cheap, but are outstanding. They are seared and tender with outstanding flavor. My steak was so good I went back the next night. They are consistent my first wasn't a fluke.
