The spot I wad going to hunt in the morning is being harvested right now, I think that they will be done soon. My question is should I go to another location, or should I pray for the best at the harvest location. There are signs of big bucks at both places, and the alternate was harvested about 3 weeks ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would be there as early as possible. One never knows what that farmer is going to push out of that field, with a little luck it just may be a P&Y.

Seriously I shot one of my biggest bucks when I was 15 by just sitting 150 yards on top of a hill watching the edge and seeing what the farmer pushed out. AS that combine got down to about 3 swaths left that buck walked out on his own leisure like he wasnt scared at all. You know they hang in that corn.
Will never forget that.

I know a farmer that tells me you wouldnt believe the racks he sees just walking ahead of the combine like nothing is happening. Tells me sometimes the racks are as tall as the corn.
Now if it was only legal to hunt off the roof of a moving combine. HA!

Definitely hang out there. At home there's a field of corn that we can't hunt. The farmer always cuts most of it about 3-4 days prior to firearm season. He leaves the middle for the people who pay to hunt his land. One year when I was out scouting (we have permission on the land surrounding the field) a few days prior to the season, he was out harvesting and we saw some deer that made me want to break the law they were so nice!! We'd never seen any of them and they were all just brutes. That's where both of my deer have been shot, about 20 yds onto ground we have permission.
