Jez! Just think what the kids in the class were thinking when that buck went running by...![]() I wish that happened last year in Botany, then maybe Fishman34 and I wouldn't have dozed off so much...

My dad used to manage grocery store and twice, in two different stores over the years, deer crashed through the front glass and went running around the store. Another time a deer just walked in the back door and was trapped in the back room for a while. Deer are crazy.
I also remember some very graphic picture from when a drunk Hell's Angel rode his bike into the store glass in the middle of the night at a high rate of speed. His bike didn't make it into the store, but some of him did. At least he was wearing a helmet. Not that it mattered. |

I will never forget last year. I have an area pond that doesn't get hunted and loads up with geese. I scout that pond quite frequently and on a friday late afternoon last year I was following the geese after they had left the pond. My dad was with me and we were driving down the road. There was a fella on a bicycle just ahead of us and as we went to pass him a doe jumped out of the ditch and hit him. I slammed on the breaks and stopped to see if the bike guy was ok. He was a little dazed but no worse for wear. I think that would be a one in a million chance of hitting a deer as you are on your bike. Stupid thing just turned right around and ran back the way she came. I think that she had a deep hatred for bicylist on the h-way.
