An AC/DC concert. Can you even put a price on those tickets? Probably the greatest band of all time and they are only 90 bucks.

Shot one.

Thanks to over-hunted public land. It's going to be a tough one this year guys.

Rain + Duck Hunting = Great Hunts.... IMO

Good Luck to everyone who is going out tommarow. I will be standing in the rain as well.

Yes. Our group ended up with 4 or 5. Fishman has the pictures, and we'll probably have some more pictures of woodies after tomorow morning too.

Terribly poor shooting plagued our group today, we ended with 19 between 6 of us. Fishman has some pictures he can post. Hopefully the shooting will be a little better tomorow....

Had a decent day with five. 2 woodies, green wing, blue wing and a ringneck all drakes. Should of have six, but couldn't hit the ground if I fell out of a tree for most of the morning. I took this week off and am looking forward to the cold front coming through. Could be a great week.

I went out to the basin this morning. Me and my friend shot are limits. We ended up with 4 bluewing, 3 greenwing, 3 wigeon all drakes, and 2 Mallard drakes. We were done by 8:30. We stayed utill 10 hoping for some specks but nothing.

We were hunting a public marsh.

Me and fishman hunted this morning and shot 1 widgeon(my first), 1 teal, and 2 woodies. Was a little slow, but the 30 mph wind gusts killed us.

Hunted the basins with 4 guys saturday morning and got skunked.
This was the first time I have ever got skunked on opening day.
Hardly any ducks around, and hardly heard any shooting. We must be doing something wrong with the other reports I'm hearing.

I dont think your the only one doing anything wrong I have heard of a few other reports of people getting skunked in the basin.

This morning in the marsh I hunted there was a group of 4 on the other side of the marsh. They had a medium size spread and a robo duck( Nothing wrong with that Spread ). Me and my friend had one and half dozen mallards decoys, 6 wigeon decoys, 1 dozen teal decoys, and no robo. We were pulling ducks off them all morning ( I dont know what they were doing wrong but it was something???). We are not the best callers. The only calling we were doing was single quacks. NO FEEDING CALL AT ALL.

Saturday - Mudhole away from the basins. 2-man limit in an hour mostly mallards with a few greenwings and a drake pintail.

Sunday - Private marsh in the basins 3-man limit in less than an hour. All greenwing teal, except for 2 mallards, a gadwall, and a bluewing. Didn't hold out for the big ducks because of the rain and if we had set up differently, we would have done better on mallards. Heard some shooting Saturday and Sunday and looked like alot people out were out hunting this weekend. Saw alot of birds both days
