ohhh there will be pics this weekend might be more about slaying some roosters, but after that, I might be picking up the camera instead of a gun for a few fields.

Default Pheasant Retrieve

Freckie brings in one of the several pick-up loads of pheasants she got during her career. Md or late '90's. Public ground in Johnson County. Probably a bird stocked by the state.

My non-hunting brother-in-law was visiting and wanted to see some bird dog work. So, went down there and I got 3 in an hour, on 3 points and 4 shots. I couldn't convince him that it's not always that easy!! He wanted to go home and have me send him a gsp pup. My sister put a stop to that!! She let him have a fishing pole that he can use twice a year instead!!

Default Bets'

This is my dog Elizabeth Von Richthofen, the pheasant she is retrieving was one that decided to fly into a 35 mph wind, wrong choice. She's a black and white GSP. 4 and a half years old, great pup with lots of spirit, who would rather hunt than eat a steak!

I think there should be a rule that the picture must have been taken in the last 40 years. Bummer Steve, looks like you are out.

Here are a couple pics of my one year old (tomorrow) pup Sage. Not the greatest since all I had was the cell phone with me but thought I would share anyway.

Retrieving a rooster:

Retrieving a quail:

Sage with her Mom Libby with the results of the day. 2 quail, 1 prairie chicken, 2 roosters and 1 bearded hen turkey (bow kill):

Hopefully I'll get some pics of both of them in action over the rest of the weekend.

Here is my entry. This is Magnum.

Here are some other shots of Magnum at work.

He had to go out a long way for this one.

You have to look at the spot way out there to see him.

A little tired but he gets it back to shore.

Watching ducks come in.
