My cell phone coverage, which is sprint, is always in roam where I hunt. The camera would probably be in roam mode too and that would get pricey depending on how long it took to dowload photos and thats providing it's even set in a spot where it can get a signal. Granted it is cool but that sounds like a major waste of money IMHO

Like in my case it wouldn't work because I wouldn't get cell phone reception. But were I live and were I deer hunt is 5 hours away. And I only have 4 - 5 days each year to fill my tags. It was just a great Idea. people that have land to hunt around them that can go out and check there camera it's probably not realistic to have something like this. But people like me that drive that far with gas prices It would be nice to see what goes on. Instead of checking the camera the night before deer season......

10 cent per image transfered on top a phone bill....That could get pretty pricey real fast although that is a really great idea..Paying money for blank shots with no deer would never make me mader.

I hear ya, not knocking you at all, the tech is gettin crazy and so are the price tags. I see where it could be useful to the long distance hunter but at the same time hunting is exactly that. it's hunting which means getting into the field, knowing you quarry and the habit it lives in. I have a few trail cams set up but I still depend, 95% of the time, on actual in the stand sightings, seeing deer and decideing if I should move my stand here, or there or give it another try the next day. I think some people relate the act of killing with success rather than just getting out and seeing game. Most often picking a spot and trying to figure when they move and exactly where they will move is the hard part, spending the time on stand to prove to yourself you were right is sometimes harder, but being right in the estimation and seeing it in person is a greater reward than a picture ever will be, unless the picture is of your hands on a nice set of antlers. I see cameras as a useful tool but like everything else eventually it comes down to how much do you need and how often do you need it? There are days when I head to the woods with only a flashlight, bow, knife and a snickers bar and those are usually the best days, when I get back to basics.

That is pretty sweet. And I agree with ya Bob, if you have alot of miles to cover to get to your hunting ground it could definately be helpful.
