Default Easy place to take 4 year old in basins on early teal.

He wont be shooting but am wondering if someone can give me a tip on a basin that is pretty easy for a 4 year old to walk in. I am thinking early teal will be real good for him to go with because of the hot and heavy action. Was thinking of heading down the first Tuesday after opening early weekend. Hes so excited and cant wait to go. I dont want to dissapoint him with a bad time. Im going to buy a Thermacell to keep those skeeters away thats for sure.

PMs are accepted if you dont want to publicize it.

Also anyone got any reports from there? Cant wait to drive that far and shoot my 4 ducks. hehe

Unless your going to eat the horns or mount it, let that buck walk by. Shoot a doe

Almost all the E basins have great water. Biggest variation is weeds, open water, and bird numbers. Surprising to see two basins that are almost exactly alike and one is completely loaded with birds but the next is void. The report posted is a good place to start, but seems kind of out of date. A couple of the basins mentioned were almost dry when I was out there a few days ago, even though they had a ton of water a few weeks ago. Gas money accepted.

They make hip boots for the little guys, dont know about waders.

I still have the pair of hippers I bought Mini when he was 5. If Keagan wasnt next in line to wear em I would give em to ya.

The little guys have a tough time in the grass. Best bet is to get a decoy cart and have him sit on the dekes and hold on. They make those dog platfroms for shallow water, maybe you could get your boy to stay put on one of those.
