Default Tracking Collars

Does anyone have a new garmin tracking collar or been around one?
I'm thinking about buying one but would like some feed back before i spend that kind of money. Thanks for any info.

I'd just go with a good beeper. Less money, less to lug around while hunting.

My wife says hers itches, but I don't make her wear it at home.

I got a good beeper and i can't hear him on one of his long runs. Looking at getting some other type of tracking collar. Never thought about using it on the wife like LundLover but that is not a bad idea.

Would you be using the collars on bird dogs or hounds? I am asking because I know guys with both coon and coyote hounds and I think the gps system would be a lot nicer than the other tracking systems.

Along the lines of the beeper, I used a bell on my dog last year and that seemed to work well.
