Hardly anyone viewing, anybody else pumped about bowseason? When are you hanging stands? Are you hunting public/private/lease? Elwwod jr and I are hanging stands saturday, on public land. Still waiting for a bowhunter ed class to open up for jr.

I'll be sticking to private ground again. I hope to get some stands relocated this weekend or next weekend at the latest. I'm pretty pumped to try some more spot and stalk on mulies here in the earlier part of the season, it was a blast last year!

Well now i`m envious of you. Tough to get on private land in these parts. You live in the right part of the state for hunting.

I'm pretty lucky that alot of the land I hunt in we own. In the area that I hunt there's only about one or two peices of ground I don't have permission on, and thats because they either don't let any one hunt, or they hunt it themselves.

The earlier the better. Deer are extremely dumb the first couple weeks of the season. I guess they haven't figuered out they are being hunted yet. I like it when it is warm it's much more comfortable.

It makes it alot easier for spot and stalking when it's warm because you don't have all those noisy and cumbersome winter clothes on.

The best part of the season is when you get about 6 inches of nice powder snow and a little windy... Stalking in those conditions is great, wont miss hunting a day in the snow until the snow melts then freezes.

hung my last 3 stands about 3 weeks ago. the other 7 or 8 just stayed out all year. all private. mostly just farmland with a few draws, and stands of timber but Ive got one trick up my sleeve as far as land goes. plan on smokin a doe on that monday morning. actually...with a full moon and probably being 85...ill settle with seeing something. itll just feel great to be out.
