Come on guys... back to the thread. You've voiced your opinions about what you thought the age of the deer was. Some of you disagree. That's going to happen. Let's get back on track. What some of you are doing on here is not helpful and I'm SURE that it's not what huskerbowhunter had intended to get out of this thread.

I say we take the dogs whenever you feel like she has learned enough to keep up with a diehard birddog. And like I said I am done arguing with you because it gets us nowhere. So have a nice day and let me know when you feel like letting the dogs go

Your 100 percent right and I apologize. This is pretty dumb argument and it over with me as of now.

Look at it this way when you hear people bragging about the deer they shot you can always say; "Yeah I passed on a 6X7 wasn't big enough".

I say that all the time. Now only if it were true!

Keep in mind, I believe the young man that started this thread said that he has only shot one??? other deer, is that correct? If that is the case, in my book, he has every right to shoot that deer. After he gets a few like that at his house, he will want bigger, and let that size walk in the future. It is a natural stage of progression/developement of a hunter. YOu can bet the my second deer didn't look like that, but now, I would probably let that deer walk. And I think flatcoats is right, once he is out of velvet, his appearance will probably change.
