Didn't know there was even any concern over losing the early teal season. Thought every has looked good with the teal for the last many years now.

I for one love early teal season. Only thing I dont like is getting checked more than once a day by wardens. They sure go crazy over those teal. I know that they are just doing their jobs though.

We've never been checked during early teal.

Got checked twice one day, by the same guy, and also got checked two days in a row, two consecutive weekends in October. Brentzel (sp?) in October. Nice guy, helpful too.

I seriously cant believe that. I know you hunt around the same place as me too.

The feds and state wardens are like flys. Prying information from you as well trying to get you to say something stupid even if you didnt do anything wrong. I tell everyone I bring to just be quiet and let me talk. Its nuts.

Never during early teal. In fact,I've never seen a game warden even driving around during it. And to be honest,I've only been checked once during spring snows and either once or twice during the regular duck season down in those areas.I've never been checked anywhere else in this state or other states during waterfowl season.

Thats cause they usualy go where they hear the shooting.

I think Darren only checks me so he can bum a smoke...or show me that he has his own.

Give me time I'll think of something to say to that comment.

you guys must look suspicious because I never even saw a game warden water fowl hunting in the basins last year and I live there so I hunted 4-5 times a week? I was usually limited out, and out of there with in an hour though so maybe he comes later? Did get checked by the feds during spring snows though. Maybe it's the out of area plates?????

They follow the teal like no other. We hunted the basin--and a rather unknown one at that--which had by far the most teal out of anywhere I checked. Wardens were posted at that one and everyother one near it. If they find the teal, the will find the places where people will double dip and have the biggest chance of shooting off ducks. We have got bombarded the last years. Even though we are hunting different basins, we are where the teal are. And it seems like the wardens follow the concentration like flies.

Good Hunting,
PATRICK OLSON
