Ok, On occasion I will locked these threads and start new ones so we can stay on top of member feedback.

So far I have made the following improvements:

1. Clicking on the next page of a long topic now goes to the top of the next page instead of the bottom.
2. I added quick navigation at the bottom of the post pages (i.e Nebraska Fishing Forum » General » All Things Fishing )
3. Added an "All Things Fishing" link below the site logo. This allows you to get to All things fishing from anywhere on the site quickly.
4. Corrected the "Auto Login" feature that wasn't working for allot of people.
5. Fixed the issue with being logged out after 15-20 minutes.
6. I have added a spell check that is now being tested by the Moderators, and will be released to everyone today.

Here is what I believe to be left on the list of things to do:

1. Send message to email when you get a PM.
2. There are still a couple issues with some of the themes.

If there is anything else I missed, or any new items you would like to see improved/changed or added please feel free to let us know, we consider everyone's input.

Thanks,
Bill

Nodak Outdoors is a site I visit often (imagine that :d), they have forum split into many differnet categories. Maybe too many, but thought I would suggest that. Under their 'Fishing' category there are 7 species sub-categories and a few more on Ice Fishing, Bow Fishing and other species. Sorry 'Mo' no Carp category....

Here's the address, maybe it could be of some help NoDak Outdoors.com

Oh and hey, thanks for setting up this site. I was lost, but now I am found.

nodaker, We have though about splitting it up but have decided to keep it together for now, we don't want everyone going off to their own corner, we feel we get a better "community" atmosphere if we keep it to one fishing thread.

Great site, I can't believe how well this one is coming along! I didn't post a whole lot over at the NGPC site, but i have a feeling I will here. I have one question, this morning when I logged in on all of the threads that had new posts that envelope had a little red N on it to show there were new posts. Shortly after that I started messing around and looking at the variety of themes you have and now i no longer get the red N when there are new messages. I really liked that feature. How do I go about getting those back, do I need to change to the default theme?

Keep up the good work!

Boomer,

Hit the refresh button on your browser to get the little red "N" back for the topic with new posts, and to clear the "N" from the threads that you have read. YOu can also change the settings in your profile to get a different theme to display on your screen that will have different new post indicators than the "N".

OK, I went out to the "All Other Things" area, then came back to this one and this thread had the red N. So I must have not been paying attention before or something. I dont know why, but I really like that feature. This forum is definitely user friendly!

I believe the Little Red N is on the default iCGStation theme, but I have though about asking my wife to make new buttons with the Little red N for all themes, just to help distinguish and keep things a little more uniform among the themes.

Spell Check has been turned on for everyone.

You will see the "Spell Check" button along the bottom of the edit window near the Post/Preview/Cancel buttons.

Thanks,
Bill

in the everything else forum area you should add a forum-thing for 'bait recipes' like making catfish bait and carp bait and every other kinda stuff, preserving cut bait, etc. who knows! making worm farms. etc. !!!!!!

LoveFishing, If you would like the site to look differently, simply go to the My Profile Link at the top, Click on Edit Profile on the left, and scroll about 2/3 of the way down and choose one of the several different themes that will be most beneficial to your view.

Thanks,
Bill

FishSplash, Adding a Forum for Bait Recipes is not a bad idea, let me run it through the group and we will see what we can do.

Thanks for all the great ideas, and keep them coming, remember this is our forum, lets make it what we want it to be.

lovefishing,

There should be a setting on your profile page that lets you select the proper time zone. Just select US Central, and that should correct the problem. If not, let us know again.

lovefishing, you will need to change your timezone to central time in your profile, then everything should work great

Let us know if you need any more help.
