Default Anyone been fishing Wagon Train?

I will be fishing Wagon Train for bass within the next couple of days and was wondering if anyone had any kind of information about the current lake conditions or what the fish have been hitting on? Any particular area of the lake that I should key?

The last time I fished Wagon Train was late last year. The water level was horribly low, most of the lake was weed choked (which i normally enjoy), and we didn't catch a fish. I ended up going over to Stagecoach. The few times before that I had some pretty great fishing out there.

The water level is probably back up with all the percipitation we have been getting (hopefully). I haven't seen the lake this year at all so any information would be appreciated. How is the vegetation in the lake right now? What kind of water temps will i be looking at?

Keep fishing.

I was there two weeks ago fishing for catfish. The water level was excellent, the boat dock looked good and the shoreline was not full of vegetation.

can't help you with the bass fishing

we caught some small cats and one bullhead 1/2" short of a MA. All came on nightcrawlers drifted in the shallows under slip bobbers around some stumps. Nothing was biting on shad sides. We got a couple of good bites on the North end of the lake around the "islands" in real shallow water, but didn't get to see them.

Not a big basser, but you should probably concentrate on the west and north sides of the lake. The vegetation will kick in those areas first, which draws the bait fish, which draw the game fish.
