Now I see I've got to buy a couple new combos to finish out upland season. I figure a 7 foot medium-heavy with a 3/4 oz. Rattl-Trap for the pheasants, and probably a 5 1/2 foot pistol grip with a 1/2 oz. simple casting weight for the quail -- working around a lot of brush and you don't want to get snagged, you know...

That's insane stuff! I guess I'll be using a King Kat combo with a 5 oz weight next year for deer.

The fly rod guys are gonna have a hell of a time.

Even the Bow hunters would have to "bow" down.

This has me thinking.... How fun would that be for hunting. Sit in a tree stand with some deep sea tackle and a snagging hook next to a salt lick. That would be the fight of your life.

Or you could think smaller with racoons and actual bait. You could use like peanut butter bait for squirrels and ultra light tackle... Or table scraps for cats and medium tackle.

It could revolutionize hunting. Like fishing, it could be harvest AND catch and release. Just slap some peroxide on their wounds and let em go.

Master Casters has a few pretty cool videos. I liked the baseball one. Couldn't find the skeet one on YouTube...
