Just wondering what most people fish with the most or like the most.

I voted for standard because I use standard tackle the most but fly fishing comes up as a close second, love to fly fish too!

Most of the time I prefer to just use my hands and noodle for bass, but when that's not working I'm a standard tackle kind of guy...

Noodle for Bass LOL. Didn't know you could do that! You outta try noodling for gar or pike next time.

I'm a standard tackle sort of guy, but really like flyfishing and ice fishing as well. Basically, if there is a shot at catching a fish by doing it, I'll usually give it a shot. Noodling, however, is not on the agenda in the near future.

dont trust the hard water, spent more time tieing flies on after i snap the tippet like a bull whip, so i guess if drifting crawlers and minnows is basic then im just yur basic fisherman

Standard I use the most, but during the winter it doesn't get any better than ice fishing!

One of my hopes this year was to become a better all-around angler. I'm confident that I can tackle just about any situation, spinning, baitcaster, spincast, fly, ice..... bow is the only thing missing. that's a goal for 2010.

Default Use the right tool . . .

I did not vote because I could not vote for "all of the above".

Use the right tool for the job.

I am no purist, I do not care how I catch fish, whatever it takes. In some situations that will be spinning gear, in other situations that will be casting gear, fly-fishing at other times and sometimes it will even be fishing through a hole in the ice with 2-pound test line.

Versatility, baby. They are all fun and they all have their time and place.

Kind of hard to use fly gear/standard gear when there is ice. Kind of silly to use ice gear when there is no ice. It would depend on the time of year and condition of the water.

I use complex lures..every year the improvements made to the AnglerX jig gets me closer to the magic "catch all" lure.

I chose standard because I spend my time bass fishing most of the time.

That being said, after the Navy moved us around through my childhood, my parents retired to their home state of Nebraska. I came up here a year later for college at NU. Dad had talked about ice fishing Willow Lake and the Refuge my whole life, so having him teach me on the lakes he fished growing up was cool...ice fishing will always have a special feeling for me because of that.

Of course then, we'd take off weekends in the spring and fall, he'd pick me up in Lincoln, and we'd head to Oahe or Calamus for some walleye fishing, so that's a great memory and walleye fishing will always be special.

Then one day, long ago, I asked what this one strange fishing pole of his was. Dad, said, in his infinite wisdom, "fly fishing sucks, I hate that thing".

I miss being able to fish with dad...

I mean, he's still around and healthy and everything, but the b*stard took up golfing.

Had to go with standard since I have yet to fly or ice fish, though the latter will be done this year.
