Default Closed Fishing Reel

I'm looking for a cheap (very cheap) closed fishing reel for my gf. She doesn't do much fishing but the rod/reel combo I bought really sucks and I want to try and at least make it a little more fun for her. As you all know from past experience, having a crappy reel really isn't fun. I'm really not looking to spend probably more than $10. I'm just looking for a reel that someone isn't using, doesn't plan on using, sits in the garage, etc but works. I really appreciate the rod/reel combo I got from the one guy the day before the Wagontrain tourney!!! Just wanted you to know that My daughter has a much better time fishing by the way bc of that rod/reel. Let me know if there is someone out there with a reel they could spare, want to get rid of, etc. Thanks!!!

Find a zebco 33. Those reels just never die. I wish I still had mine from when I was a kid. Here is a link from Cabela's, although they are just a little more than 10 bucks. Good luck

garage sales and auctions ... plenty of good deals on good gear can found cheap.

I second the Zebco 33....timeless and reliable.

I'd go for a zebco 33, I loved that thing when I was a kid, worked great unlike many other closed-faced reels.

Man he right !! there's some good deals sitting right there on Craigslist Omaha. it's a good thing I don't live there. I'd be all over some of that stuff and then be in big trouble with the wife for getting more fishing crap I don't really need.
