Pictures Fishing with my kids this morning

Went out to the Base Lake fishing with my kids and my Parents. When ever I have the boys with me I am to busy to help them so I just take 1 of the bluegill or whatever they catch and put it on a hook whole and alive and who knows maybe ill get somthing. Well we caught everything from Bluegill to Gar. Some Small mouth bass as well. Anyways after a few hours we went to pack up and I had to go real in the cat pole that been sitting there all day with out a bite. Sure enough there was a cat on it must have just been sitting there on the bottom chomping down. Kids got excited so I snapped some photo's with the camera phone since I forgto the Camera at home.

Nathan Wanted to release it he almost went in with the fish if I wasnt holding onto him.

Where were you fishing at the base lake and if you don't mid what were you using as bait? I was up there last week and didn't catch squat. That is more a testament to my skills, but welcome any advice. I am not very interested in catching catfish but would love to catch almost anything else.

Im impressed with your son the most hes definatly not scared of that cat. Pretty awesome he gets right in there. Both mine that are old enough to fish wouldnt even try yet. Oh well maybe later nice kitty.

That whole lake is hit and miss there are lots of trophy fish in there but its a bi poler lake. I was using a 4" Green sunfish alive on bottom about 30 yards out in the south west corner area.
