Either that or nightcrawler.
2" Senko no doubt. I rig mine on a #6 hook wacky style. Cabelas always has some in the closeout bin or bargain cave. The bigger senkos work good on sunfish too. Try a 5" with a 4/0 hook and see what you drag up!

I'm going to try one that I made last night, so if you see tall guy flinging a Busch Light cap (my neighbors drink the good stuff) around the south basin of Holmes please remember I'm doing it for the sake of science. Keep the mockery to a minimum!

Yes -- I stocked up in the closeout bins when I heard they were yanking them off the shelves in the US. I only wish I could have found more of them.

The 3" work just as good on Bass......but kind of take the panfish out of the equation.

1/32 oz Black hair or feather jig with white eyes.

"Survivorman" wouldn't have a show if he kept one of these in his hat!

If I could only use one lure, and I needed to eat what I caught,it would be a twister tail or bucktail on a jighead. While fishing with Daryl B. this year trying to locate some nice largemouths in deep water(12-22') on Walnut Creek,Daryl hit I believe his best of the day on a bucktail, and 8 lb line,he got a great fight from a fish that was just short of a MA.Will try to post some pics after I get back from Guntersville,Al., next week, and some of Anglers X's jigs are going with me,we'll see if southern bass like those jigs Andrew.

The Flaming Dupont Surprise is foolproof from what I hear. (Or what I used to hear.)

I'm thinking I would go with a beetle spin. Not only has it seemed like I have caught everything on a beetle spin but with that lure you can have a small spinner or take the spinner off and have a small jig.

I would second the beetle spin. I like yellow/black stripe or white w/red dot.

or i would go with a 1 inch bass assasin the neon green/black flake color rigged on a 1/32 jig, . I have caught everything with those things. Even caught a MA LMB, and a 14 inch crappie on consecutive casts.

Microjig, huh, Don? If it wasn't for catching several hundred fish of at least 10 species on one, each year for the past five, I'd call you a heretic!

1/32 jig head with a "electric chicken" or "opening night" 1.5 panfish assassin mini shad body series. They are real "assassins"!!
