Default Buglemitis runs rampant at PV?

A while back Buglem posted some pics of a smaller channel cat from Prairie View with some sort of parasites (parasites if I remember right) that I have hence named buglemitis. I went out there today for some ^%$ Fishing after stopping at Bumpus' to give him a good ear scratching.

I'd never been there before so I figured I'd give it a shot. The wind was blowing and looked like rain, but I'd already canceled my plan to hit Summit because it was supposed to rain this morning, and I was bound and determined to get some fishing in today. Fished for about an hour and got 5 gills. I was pleased, my 4th time ^%$ fishing and I haven’t been skunked yet!

on to the pics.....

BUGLEMITIS PLAGUED GILL

You might try something with more protein... I hear that these kinda fish are somewhat carnivorous.

Glad you could get out, especially with the fly rod (unless you are fishing nymphs on the ultralight - they don't cast too far that way)

FYI... Fly is not an expletive

Those are some nice fish! I've seen the same parasite on a couple cats this year. The parasite is called: Black Spot. It is caused by Larval Flukes burrowing under the skin which will appear as small round black dots. Best of all they are edible with no special preparation needed. Just clean your fish like normal and eat. Yummy!

A simple warning that if continues to to try to play both sides, the fairy wand may be sleeping with the ultralite.

I feel famous! I get back from elk hunting and find out a parasite has been "named" after me. Maybe that should be infamous....

Nice fish Alex! Hope the boots work out well.
