Andrea Cade of NGPC will conduct a 90-minute "Youth Fishing Instructor Certification" class next Friday, Feb. 2, at the Walleye Association's Annual Outdoor Expo next weekend in Lincoln, starting at 5:30 p.m. Those who complete the class become certified volunteers for NGPC's Youth Fishing Program.

Is anyone else planning to attend?

She told me today she will conduct a second certification class later this month: Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 730-9 pm at Schramm.

Are any Forum members already certified? What do you think of the program? If anyone here has any first-hand knowledge of this certification course, I'd like to learn more about it.

I'm also wondering if this might not be the answer to some of the issues involved in holding a youth fishing day in Lincoln (and elsewhere?) this spring?

I think this would be a great program for our members to get certified in! I going to try and get to the one on Feb 21, will even take the night off from work to go do it.

Just wanted to bump this up as I think a gang of us ought go out to this on either of the two dates.

Since I'm in Omaha, I'm putting in today for the night of Feb 21 off to go to this over at Shramm.

If anyone wants to carpool over, let me know.

i would just worry about my busy schedule, is there a lot of commitment involved? I would like to be certified though.
