Default Valentine Refuge

Hey guys, i am heading to the refuge for some duck hunting and fishing. Anybody been out there lately so they can give me a heads up on what is on currently (i know the weather may tweak everthing out) I am more interested in the fishing as i know there are ducks. LOL. Would like to find some northerns and bass.

Thanks for any reports

bachelorpads,

I heard a report that the water was stained and dirty. It is my understanding that this is typical this time of the year. The report was that they didn't catch many fish. They had their best luck with bronze colored crank baits. Best of luck. A bad day fishing on the refuge is better that the best day at work.

Default Just another "Helpful Hint from Harold"

While you are there, pay attention in the morning and especially the evenings for the "flight" of the grouse. If you are there more than one day, it is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to harvest some grouse, by "pass shooting" them the next day/evening when you know their "flight pattern"!

Very successful at the Refuge, and has been equally so in the past at Davis Creek!

Good Fishin', and Good Hunting!
