Default Standing Bear

Hey ya'll,
This is my first post.
Took my Grandson to Standing Bear Saturday morning. Got there about 9:30am. The G&P stocked trout there, but I didn't see anybody catch one. We caught a couple of bluegill\Rock Bass and that was it.

Where are all the Trout?

Duane

Welcome to the Forum, Duane. Good to have you aboard.

You probably will get more responses to your question if you re-post it in the general Fishing forum. This section basically is devoted to NGPC news releases and, sometimes, members' responses to them. You'll find a lot more readers in the general Fishing forum.

No biggie, I moved it.

You screwed up? yeah, well welcome to the club!!

Your not an official member until you post something in the wrong place!

To be a director, you have to have the ability to almost crash the forum on a daily basis without even trying !

Post without fear!! That's my motto!

Welcome aboard!!

Keep trying those SB trout. I used to always have really good luck on them over Thanksgiving weekend.

I have wanted to start fishing and I live about half mile south of standing bear. I brought my pole and tackle from home in south central Nebraska. I googled and found this site and have been soaking up the info. We'll see if you fellas know what you are talking about

Welcome to the forum, Dan! Lemme tell you this, as a "South Central" inhabitant, I envy your fishing opportunities in your "new" home!

Don't let them "easterners" tell you otherwise. We have some GREAT fisheries out hear, but you will find one "right around the corner" in every direction in the Omaha/Lincoln area!

I would recommend that you continue to trust the advice from the "out-state" fishers, as they are rarely wrong!

The easy access to lakes here is one main reason I wanted to get back into fishing. I just need to get some time now....
