Default Wagon Train Saturday...

Got to Wagon Train around 8:30. Tried shrimp, worms, shad sides, minnows, dip bait...couldn't get anything to really work. After about three hours the crappie and bass finally started to hit on the minnows. Got this 16"er just off the jetty by the beach, several 10" crappie also. Had a great day either way fishing with one of my sons. May go back again with another son tomorrow or try Branched Oak, never been there. Thanks to all for the advice on WT. Ryan, good meeting you!

No. There was a family in a boat, came along the east shore about half way up, he tied into something that really broke the water while casting large plugs, busted him off really quick, bent the pole more than double! He was better than me...didn't hear any foul words!

Nice to meet you! We ended up getting a couple of bites up north, but didn't get good hooksets, and lost them both. Did end up getting one small cat. After we broke off a hook, my brother was going to tie on a new one, and then asked "Where's the tackle box?" D'oh! Went back for it, and decided it was late enough, so we just loaded up and headed back to town. Had some other stuff to get done. First trip to that lake, so I wasn't expecting much.
