Slim, Harold delivered the gear bag safe and sound this morning, and it's now officially added to the flyrod/reel combo and SKershaw's flies as the prize in the drawing.
(The gear bag, btw, is exactly the one I use myself. It will hold a half dozen fly boxes, leaders, tippet, two reels and/or spools, pliers, and a tape measure. If you only have five fly boxes, you can fit in a PB&J sandwich. )Thanks, Slim.

Secondly, OBG, if I had thought that the gear bag could be used for something other than "ferrie wand paraphernalia", you would never have seen it! But I'm thinkin' Roast Beef and Swiss... Harold F. "Kudos" to OBG, SKershaw, Slimdog!

An entry from one of the Eveland boys will be enroute after the cushy state/federal holiday.
Sadly, the oldest Eveland boy is retaking his English class at SDSMT...and he had plenty of "As" in English during all those post-secondary years. ![]() Thanks to OBG and the others who donated prizes!

Thank you, Mako.
SWMBO tells me many of the schools are having their mid-semester parent-teacher conferences this week and next, so I'm hoping a good number of the parents here on the Forum learn about an "A" in English. The deadline for entry in the drawing is Oct. 31.

This is and awesome deal you have going Roger! If my oldest didn't already have a flyrod you'd have seen his 1 in English.
We are weird parents. Anything less than an A or its equivalent is not acceptable. The kids are too smart to get less than that. Heck, they even outsmart me once in a while. ![]()

I didn't wanna taint Brandon's mind with such a goofy style of fishing so I haven't sent his in.
Actually I forgot but my excuse sounds better.![]() Alex

Thanks to holdemplyr and Teeg, Recycled Fish has added to the prize for the GrammarNazi drawing!
Alex dropped by the other day with this nice fly box (ripple foam on one side, compartments on the other), plus one of the tools I consider essential for any fly fisherman: a nail knot tool. Alex also tells me Recycled Fish will be adding some flies, too, in addition to those SKershaw has promised to tie for the winner.THANK YOU! If you haven't submitted your entry yet, time's running short. All entries must be postmarked no later than Oct. 31.

Today is the last day to submit entries. Steve and I have decided to allow four "working days" for the postal service, so any entries postmarked today and received through next Wednesday will be entered in the drawing.
As Steve has pointed out, we're also perfectly willing to accept "scanned" entries by email or NEFGA PM. Good Luck!

Once Steve confirms with me that he has checked the NEFGA mailbox for last minute entries today, Bumpus and I will conduct the drawing. May the best English student win!
