The latest in the Recycled Fish series of events with Islamorada Fish Company is coming up... "Fall Evening with Recycled Fish: Ask the Experts."
Don’t put up your fishing rods yet - fall is the time of year when fish go on their annual feeding frenzy prior to cool winter waters. The “Evenings with Recycled Fish” event series continues with our Ask the Experts event on Friday, September 26th from 6PM - 8PM at Islamorada Fish Company in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Come enjoy the whole event or just drop by. It’s a casual, come as you are evening. Here's the goods: Amazing panel of experts including Daryl Bauer (NGPC), Ward Bean (Warmwater Fly Tyer) Dave McCoy & Mike Langford (Bass Pro Shops Pro Staff) Jay Davis (Nitro Boats Pro Staff), Chris Ulane (Gear Guru), Teeg Stouffer (miscreant, ne'er do well)...and more... Panel-style Q&A with the experts, plus a chance to pick their brains one-on-one. Live cooking demonstration with Chef John Schow: "cooking fish with beer and wine." Good stuff right there! Door prizes, raffle prizes, live & silent auction including bid-to-win trips with Ben Garver & Jay Davis. Learn loads more here: Ask The Experts | Recycled Fish Here's the deal for you NEFGA Friends: Tickets are just $5 for this event, and all the funds support Recycled Fish efforts to advance the Stewardship Ethic and support our lakes, streams and seas. For NEFGA members, tickets are 2-for-1 ... just $5 for TWO people! Click this link for 2-for-1 tickets... https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...harset=UTF%2d8 Tickets are free for Recycled Fish members. (If you're a member and didn't get your ticket in your e-mail inbox, PM me.) Here's my personal appeal: All of these events have been awesome. They continue to get better and better. (See a recap of the last one, including a 2-minute video replay, here.) If we can pack the place - if we can hit 150 guests - Islamorada / Bass Pro will take this series nationally. That means huge, huge things for Recycled Fish and extending the Stewardship Ethic. Please come, and bring 10 friends. Tell your bass club / walleye club / neighbors / cousins / whomever, and let's blow the lid off! ![]() -- Teeg

vrentropy - yes, kids are welcome. There are always a handful of kids at these events, they have a great time. There is a wine and beer tasting which is not open to the youngsters, but everything else that happens is open to them. As a matter of fact, seems like it's always kids that wind up winning the door prizes!
AlexT - yes, tickets can be purchased at the door, provided there's still room. As for past events, there has been. As for this one, I hope that through presale and walk-up we pack the house, so we can make this a national event!

This just in: Paul Jensen added to lineup, who will speak to walleye, pike & musky fishing.
Also got word from the Iowa DNR that they'll try to send someone over to help shed light on what's going on with fishing hotspots on the east side of the Muddy. Let me say again - if you show up, you're doing more than treating yourself to a fun night on the town, you're helping us build a national program here. If we can pack the house, we've got a chance to take this national, as these events get better and better. Counting on you, NEFGA!

Can't make it;we'll be watching a few geese for youth. Can someone ask
to explain the crappie populations/the 10" restrictions/and the crappies' overall health in Zorinsky/Wehrspann?? It's been awhile since he's turned red in the face and thrown things. Alex

I just got back into town from some commitments in California. Sorry I missed it Teeg, I would have loved to have been there.

Rocking event! Great time! It's hard to beat an informal night with guys like Daryl, Ward Bean, Aquaman, and others. After all that "tasting" they even gave up some great "tips!"

What a great event! The girls had a good time. They always love seeing guys like Butterscott, Teeg, and Aquaman. Met DarkArcher and Phisful while there as well. Kenz is atempting to come up with a nickname for Brian too.

Teeg's enthusiasm is contagious.
I strongly recommend you all become premium members. The gift package you get is easily worth over the cost of joining!

Thanks for the kind words, everybody.
NEFGA was represented well. Lots of forum members got to make face-to-face connections, and I know we're always looking for excuses to do that. Special thanks to all the intrepid anglers who drove up from Lincoln. For those who didn't make it (and for those who did, for that matter) there's a handful of photos and a brief video replay on our site now. Here's a link.

DANG! Had to miss another one. Had "homecoming" responsibilities this weekend.
