Talking Just call him "MudSharkSteve"

By the time I met up with Steve at TR#3 this morning, it was almost 9 a.m. He'd been out on the lake since 7 a.m., he told me, and the morning bite had been fantastic: 14 fish before I arrived. This was #15:

Nice one Steve, bet that a fun lil guy. Rog, funny how I was just saying last night how I hadn't caught one from there yet. Go figure, must be Steve's foot funk.

Sounds like a plan, Jeremey. That would give you all winter to work on your flycasting technique...

i've heard fly fishing for carp is becoming a classy sport....especially on shallow clear flats of western reservoirs. like fishing for bonefish except its guys with mustaches in float tubes.

Not everyone can hit just one snow goose out of a flock of 400,000...

Default Morning with OBG at TR - Sep 4, 2008

Went out and met OBG at TR for what might be the last fling out there for the year.

A perfectly beautiful morning and the fish were very cooperative. Here's OBG with an "average" TR channel cat. I think he had 4 or 5 species this morning.

All the fish looked to be in great shape. OBG can really catch them now that he has his downrigger hooked up!

Looks like some nice fish there. You realize that's a "feeder" carp, right? That doesn't really count as a full carp. Might be the equivalent of a koi...
