My wife and I just returned from Oahu. We went to watch our daughter play volleyball and for a little R and R. I saw a lot of fishermen but I didn't have a chance to wet a line. It's a great place to visit but I'm glad I'm home. I thought you would enjoy the pictures.
BowFisher Diamond Head--Just "one" of the views on the beach. Arizona Memorial--Over 900 Sailors and Marines are still entombed in the Arizona USS Missouri-- On Tuesday it will be 63 years ago that the Japanese signed the documents to surrender and end WWII on the Missouri. Mom, Daughter and Dad head for the Luau.

With that shirt you are wearing, you look like one of the locals and you are lucky they let you leave the island. Looks like you lost some weight from eating all that pineapple.

Wow, those pictures bring back so many great memories. Thanks for posting them!
I was stationed on Oahu (Camp Smith) for three years and loved it.We especially enjoyed diving with and feeding the awesome and colorful tropical fish along the reefs in Hanauma Bay and the North Shore. ![]() Additionally, we visited the Arizona Memorial frequently and always took a Lei out there to float it among the Arizona's oil drops in honor of those lost that horrible day. We still get a US flag every year that was flown above the USS Arizona which we fly in front of our house here in Nebraska. (If anyone would like to get a flag flown over the USS Arizona, I can certainly help with that.) ![]() Hope you got to enjoy the Polynesian Cultural Center while you were there. Best Fishes, ![]() Jet ![]()
